Chenelle Ansah OBE is an award-winning entrepreneur and international speaker, recognised for her impactful work as an investor and keynote speaker. Featured by Forbes and BBC, she is dedicated to addressing systemic inequality through innovation, capital, and entrepreneurship. In 2026, she was honored with an OBE in the King's Birthday Honours for her contributions to investment, women in business, and charity.
As Chair of the Investment Committee and Board Adviser at Crisis Venture Studio, the venture arm of the UK’s national homelessness charity, Chenelle oversees investment strategies and the long-term stewardship of capital to foster venture-led solutions for homelessness and economic exclusion. Additionally, she serves on the Advisory Board at Village Capital, a global organization that champions mission-driven entrepreneurs and inclusive innovation ecosystems.
With over 19 years of experience spanning financial services, technology, consulting, and investing, Chenelle began her career in investment banking and management consulting at firms like Grant Thornton UK LLP and State of Flux. Her roles there helped her develop extensive expertise in strategy, procurement, and organizational transformation before transitioning to focus on innovation, venture, and investment leadership.
As a Partner at Cornerstone Partners, a UK-based investment firm, she previously held a senior leadership position where she directed the investment syndicate and led investment activities, playing a pivotal role in early-stage capital deployment and portfolio development across high-growth ventures. This experience has sharpened her emphasis on disciplined capital allocation and support for founders within emerging investment ecosystems.
In her investment and advisory roles, Chenelle is dedicated to early-stage financial inclusion, sustainability, and impact-driven ventures that enhance access to capital and tackle structural barriers to economic opportunity. Her work spans Europe, Africa, and Asia, where she has aided in designing and scaling digital financial products and infrastructure to improve access to essential financial services for underserved communities.
She has been instrumental in developing and scaling digital banking and fintech propositions, including Nomo, the UK’s first Kuwait–UK cross-border sharia-compliant digital bank, along with Tandem Bank and Zopa Bank. This practical experience gives her insights into how financial systems can be crafted to enable mobility and inclusion at scale.
Recognized as a leading investor, Chenelle Ansah has been honored as one of Innovate Finance's Standout Women in Fintech and featured on Innovate UK’s Fintech Power List. She is also a member of the Green Angel Syndicate and acknowledged by the UK Business Angels Association as one of the country’s top female angel investors.
In addition to her investment work, Chenelle is the founder of Nell Consulting, a boutique advisory firm that specializes in designing and scaling digital banks and financial services infrastructure. Through her firm, she has supported numerous clients across four continents, including prominent global financial institutions, providing advice on cross-border financial products and digital banking initiatives.
